St Paul’s Cathedral, London

Since 604AD there has been a Cathedral dedicated to St Paul overlooking the City of London. The Cathedral was destroyed in the Great Fire of London. Sir Christopher Wren designed the replacement which was built between 1675 and 1710. Its architectural and artistic importance reflect the determination of the five monarchs who oversaw its building that London’s leading church should be as beautiful and imposing as their private palaces.

Trafalgar Square Chauffeur Driven Tour of London

Built to commemorate Nelson’s Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. Trafalgar Square has become an iconic symbol of London and an important place for Londoners in particular. Dominated by the 212 feet tall Nelson’s Column the square is also adjacent to the National Gallery.

The square was once famous for it’s pigeons, but over the last few years their numbers have fallen dramatically due to new legislation. The square is always a popular place for Londoners to celebrate New Years Eve and other national celebrations and also for political demonstrations.

Christmas in Trafalgar Square

Christmas is marked in Trafalgar Square by the Norwegian Christmas Tree, an annual gift from the people of Norway, in gratitude to the British people for their help in World War II.
