Q: Are you a licensed Private Hire Operator?
A: Yes, we are fully licensed by the Public Carriage Office which is the division of the Mayor’s Office that governs the Private Hire industry in London.
Q. Do you charge waiting time if we get delayed in customs/baggage hall & if so how much?
A. Yes, we do charge waiting time at the rate of £25.00 per hour but only after one hour from the point of flight arrival.
Q. Where will my driver be waiting for me in the airport terminal?
A. Your driver will be waiting for you near to the airport information desk in the arrivals hall with an airport board with your name on.
Q. What do I do if I cannot locate my driver?
A. Please call the office immediately, do not leave the arrivals hall and we will try and locate your driver.
Q. Are your cars non-smoking?
A. Yes all of our cars are non-smoking
Q. How old are your vehicles?
A. At UKECARS we usually keep vehicles on the fleet for no longer than 5 yrs.
Q. I am currently in another country, how do I book a car?
A. Simply by calling the Heathrow office on, or emailing us at contact@ukecars.com
Q. Are your prices quoted in Euros or Pounds?
A. All prices are quoted in UK pounds, because of the fluctuations in the currency markets it would be impossible to quote tariffs in all currencies.
Q. How long before my flight should I be at the terminal?
A. For most flights you should aim to be at the terminal 2/3 hours before your scheduled flight time.
Q. I travel to London in the congestion zone, will I be charged extra?
A. Our prices include any charges.
Q. What if my plane is delayed?
A. Our chauffeurs check with baa before leaving and while on route via an automated phone line, they will only go into arrivals between 15 and 30 minutes after your plane has landed.
Q. What if I only have hand luggage?
A. Please inform us before departure, on your return we will be in arrivals 15 minutes after your plane has landed.
Q. Do you cater for weddings?
A. We have cars suitable for weddings. We also provide additional cars for guests if required.
Q. Do you provide custom made tours?
A. All our tours are tailored to the individuals requirements and tastes. We will put together a package to suit your interests. Using our local knowledge we can also check availability and opening times of local sites.
Q. What about luggage?
A. Our cars have capacity for reasonable amounts of luggage (click on the “Fleet” Button for details). Excess luggage carriage can be arranged at reasonable cost. Please ask for details when booking your journey.
